Luck...

It comes in many different forms:  some win the Lottery, some hit it big in the stock market.

Luck for me comes in the form of my girlfriend, Christina Fu (a.k.a. TheStarryNight).

For those of you who don't know us, we have been dating for almost 3 years now.

Before she came into my life, I was pretty much a lost cause.

To the outside world, I was a having a great time (I was partying 3 to 4 times a week, and drunk off my ass all the time).

But it was really to mask the detriments in my life at that time.  I was stuck at a dead-end job, and my major (biology) along with my sub-par GPA made it difficult to advance my fledgling career at the time.

Beyond that, I really hadn't done anything well up to that point in my life, except drink myself into a stupor more times than I can remember.

I had neither the experience nor the confidence to get myself out of that crappy life cycle.

Not to sound like an over-zealous bible salesman, but my life changed the minute Christina came into the picture.

No, she didn't give me a heart transplant...not physically, at least.

She really did instill some core changes, though.

Over the past (almost) 3 years, I have reformed from my raging alcoholic days, I've since moved to a much more rewarding career, and I will be done with my MBA by the end of 2006.

It may not sound like a lot to some of you guys, but in order to get to where I stand now, a lot of blood, sweat, and tears were shed - mostly by Christina.

She really put her entire heart into transforming an immature, drunken, selfish little boy into a respectable citizen.  Although I can't really say that I'm there yet, it's a night and day difference from the way I used to be.

Christina Fu, if you're reading this, I just wanted to give you my deepest, heart-felt THANK YOU.  You are the best thing that has EVER happened to me, and I will always APPRECIATE what you've done.  You are the best girlfiend and my best friend in the whole-wide world!   How did I ever end up with some one so beautiful, intelligent, and capable?

I'm the LUCKIEST MOFO alive!

Belated...

Sorry to Dru, Patrick, Phong & Lisa for just now posting these pics...

Back from the BEST vacation ever with the best girlfriend ever.  She's the love of my life.  Thank you so much for being my honeylicious!!!

Just 2 more months until our 2-year anniversary...time flies...I'm so glad that we're together.  I still can't believe you're with me - I had always thought that you are way out of my league.  So many good memories - watching Rockets games together and the Caymans islands and the Carribbean cruise and having Friday nights just for us and watching you laugh and laugh like a little girl at the comics.

When no one else could, you saved me from drowning in alcoholic stupor.  You put me on the path to success.  You believed in me, you never lost faith, you forgave me for my many mistakes.

Just let me know when you're ready, and your *bling* *bling* will be waiting for you.

You're my best friend and my best girl and my best love.  I love you, Mrs. Chrissy Lin.

I love you, baby.
